Caroline
A. Coreno is an artist and art therapist who believes
that art is a communication language that can
reveal pain, joy, desire and hope, for both the
creator of the art and the viewer looking at the
art. Caroline received her BA in Art from Kent
State University. Her focus of study was painting
and printmaking. She received her MA from Ursuline
College in Art Therapy Counseling.
Caroline is currently employed at a skilled nursing
facility in Sagamore Hills, Ohio as an art therapist.
She implemented the art therapy program and conducts
both individual and group art therapy sessions.
She uses art as a communicative language for those
individuals where verbal language is a challenge.
Caroline is an active member of the Buckeye Art
Therapy Association and the American Art Therapy
Association. Currently, she is earning hours to
be a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and is also
preparing for the Board Certified (BC) Exam for
Art Therapy.
Besides her professional art career, Caroline
enjoys painting abstract art and cross-stitching.
In
this workshop you will create art and learn about
line, color, symbols and its holistic approach
to self-expression. You will be introduced to
the diversity of interpretations about your art
style and how art therapists use the holistic
approach with many different populations.
