Medina County Art League presents
A Half-Day Art Therapy Workshop with:

Caroline A. Coreno

Saturday: April 19, 2008 ~ 10am to 12 noon
at the A.I. Root Company in Medina

Caroline A. Coreno is an artist and art therapist who believes that art is a communication language that can reveal pain, joy, desire and hope, for both the creator of the art and the viewer looking at the art. Caroline received her BA in Art from Kent State University. Her focus of study was painting and printmaking. She received her MA from Ursuline College in Art Therapy Counseling.

Caroline is currently employed at a skilled nursing facility in Sagamore Hills, Ohio as an art therapist. She implemented the art therapy program and conducts both individual and group art therapy sessions. She uses art as a communicative language for those individuals where verbal language is a challenge.

Caroline is an active member of the Buckeye Art Therapy Association and the American Art Therapy Association. Currently, she is earning hours to be a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and is also preparing for the Board Certified (BC) Exam for Art Therapy.

Besides her professional art career, Caroline enjoys painting abstract art and cross-stitching.

In this workshop you will create art and learn about line, color, symbols and its holistic approach to self-expression. You will be introduced to the diversity of interpretations about your art style and how art therapists use the holistic approach with many different populations.
